About AFMC Pune
AFMC Pune was established in 1948 by the Ministry of Defense. It is a government medical college funded by the central government. The campus of the college spreads over an area of 440 acres of land. The college is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with grade A. AFMC Pune is recognised by the MCI, DCI and INC. The college is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik. AFMC Pune also has collaborations with the institutes and organisations like PGIMER, Chandigarh, Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, JIPMER, Pondicherry, AIIMS Delhi, National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO), etc.
AFMC Pune Courses
The college offers a total of 69 courses in full-time mode. AFMC Pune UG course is M.B.B.S and B.Sc. Candidates have to appear for NEET UG for the M.B.B.S programme admission. AFMC Pune PG courses are PG Diploma, M.S, M.D, D.M, M.Ch, M.D.S, M.H.A. The college accepts scores of NEET PG for PG diploma, M.S, M.D programme admission and NEET SS for D.M Cardiology and M.Ch programme admission. The college also offers Ph.D Pathology programme, admission to which is based on the college entrance test.

AFMC Pune facilities include boys hostel, girls hostel, library, sports, gym, cafeteria, auditorium, medical/hospital, IT Infrastructure, laboratories, etc. The college facilities are available for the students, college staff and faculty members. The college provides well-furnished and well-ventilated hostels for the boys and girls students. At AFMC Pune, students are encouraged to participate in various indoor and outdoor sports for their physical and mental well-being.
